Urban Engineering Museum

  ul. Św. Wawrzyńca 15 ,   Kazimierz          (+48) 12 428 66 00     16 Sep 2022

This large, charming, kid-friendly museum inside a late-19th century tram depot is currently undergoing major renovations, with the main area of the new permanent exhibition not slated to open until late-2022. The permanent exhibit 'Trams on Wawrzyńca' has re-opened however, and includes a bevy of historic trams that present the history of public transport in PL, including the prized 'type C' railcar - the oldest Polish tram carriage, and one of only two to have survived to today. Consistently one of the city's best museums when it comes to interactive exhibits that will engage kids, check their website to see what's on in terms of temporary exhibits and reopenings.

The museum also includes a 'Creativity Zone' where kids can sign up for a range of workshops.

Average visiting time: 30mins.

I guess they are really counting on tourists to go to this Gallery of Steel Figures, because those prices are ridiculous for local families...
