Veganic

  ul. Karmelicka 34 ,   Old Town          (+48) 668 46 84 69     more than a year ago
After standout success in the now defunct Tytano complex, Veganic has found a new home in this unique villa tucked along busy Karmelicka Street. A lovely locale with lots of space, seating and cosy furnishings, Veganic also boasts a large seasonal patio out front of the pillared entryway. With so many nooks, it serves as a lovely cafe for coffee, smoothies and mocktails (note there's no alcohol), and is a great place for meetings or solitary focus. But Veganic is also one of the top vegetarian restaurants in town, offering a wide range of well-composed vegan and gluten-free entrees (smoked tempeh on parsnip puree), trendy eats like ramen and seitan burgers, as well as creative concoctions like forest mushroom fois gras - all of it healthy, gorgeously presented and quickly served. Until 12:00, choose from some solid breakfast options including huevos rancheros and shakshuka, after which a daily lunch special is served. The hipster quotient here is still high, but Veganic is now more of a quiet bistro than counter-culture hangout.

Veganic also operates a stall at Hala Forum (open 12:00-24:00), with more of a vegan street food focus.
