The premiere (for Sofia) of the Bulgarian movie "Cat in the Wall" will be among one of the highlights of this year's Kinomania festival. The movie, which is a co-production between Bulgaria, United Kingdom and France, directed by Mina Mileva and Vesela Kazakova, has received a great response from critics and audiences. The movie was repeatedly nominated during its screenings in some of the most prestigious international film festivals and also won a couple of awards, the most recent one being the award of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) in Warsaw. 

The movie tells the story of a Bulgarian family living in the UK, who end up in serious conflict with their neighbours, who are living off welfare, about an abandoned cat. As the conflict escalates, Bulgarian audiences can see a more unfamiliar glimpse of Britain. The family comedy drama skilfully combines the political theme of Brexit with aspects of the emigrant life of Bulgarians in London.
