This well-located branch of the National Museum is devoted to Polish design, with temporary exhibits and two permanent galleries: 'Objects. Gallery of Polish Design of the 20th & 21st Century' and 'Sections. Gallery of Polish Architecture of the 20th & 21st Centuries.' The former presents items representing major design trends from Polish Art Nouveau (Młoda Polska), modernism, the avant-garde in the Second Republic, and the times of the Polish People’s Republic through to the present day. The latter is divided into six themed sections - Composition, Nature, Technology, Manifesto, Time and Space, and Cost - which act as signposts for visitors as they explore the history of Polish architecture.
