There are plenty of affordable local and imported High Street brands such as Mr Price, H&M, Cotton On and Cape Union Mart (for camping gear), two supermarkets, a vast Woolworths fashion and food emporium and cafe, coffee shops, hair and beauty salons, two chemists and a branch of the Edgars department store. There's also Typo for stationery and novelty gifts to bring delight to most teens (and adults). Once the shopping's done this is the spot to take in an art house movie at Cinema Nouveau and for more coffee Joburg's flagship Starbucks branch is right outside.
Probably Joburg's largest and most famous craft market, the Rosebank Art & Craft Market which adjoins the mall (open daily), is a one-stop spot for all your African souvenir needs, from impressive life-size beaded sculptures to must-have wooden carved giraffes, keyrings, magnets, colourful paintings, brightly coloured Afro-chic fashion, traditional fabrics and more. Every Sunday there's also the Rosebank Sunday Market which is held on the roof of Rosebank Mall and has a fantastic selection of local handmade gifts, clothing, arts and crafts and excellent food stalls.
