The Zagreb Film Festival (ZFF), one of Croatia’s most important cultural events, celebrates its 23rd edition from 10 to 16 November 2025, turning the capital into a lively hub of cinema and creativity. Over 120 films will be screened across multiple venues, including Cinestar Branimir, Kinoteka, the Museum of Contemporary Art (MSU) and Dokukino KIC.
Dedicated to discovering and promoting emerging filmmakers, ZFF’s main competition awards the prestigious Golden Pram (Zlatna kolica). Alongside the competition, the festival hosts the popular “Big Five” programme, showcasing new highlights from major European film industries — Germany, France, the UK, Italy and Spain. This year’s line-up features Miroirs No. 3 by Christian Petzold, L’étranger by François Ozon, Urchin by Harris Dickinson, Familia by Francesco Costabile and La Infiltrada by Arantxa Echevarría.
In addition to screenings, ZFF offers industry panels, masterclasses, and networking events, creating an engaging platform for both professionals and film lovers.
The festival will close with a special screening of Jim Jarmusch’s new film Father Mother Sister Brother, the winner of the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival — a fitting finale to a week celebrating world cinema in all its diversity and innovation.
Whether you’re a passionate cinephile or a casual visitor, the Zagreb Film Festival is the perfect opportunity to experience the creative energy, cultural vibrancy and cinematic spirit
