One of Croatia’s leading photorealist painters of the last half century, Zagreb-born Jadranka Fatur (1949-) has swept back into fashion due to the renewed interest in figurative art and the emergence of a younger generation of Croatian painters who mirror Fatur’s work. This exhibition in the MSU places Fatur’s work in context by setting it alongside that of some of those young guns - Zlatan Vehabović, Stjepan Čandrk and Stipan Tadić included. It also features some of the titans of the international photorealist scene whose work hasn’t been seen in Zagreb before - Malcolm Morley, Richard Estes and Don Eddy among them.
