Authentic Asian cuisine has started to make an appearance recently on the local restaurant scene even though their popularity varies, foreigners and expats look for authenticity whilst Bulgarians tend to prefer dishes adjusted to their palette. IT is now possible to get decent Japanese and Korean food in Sofia, Thai restaurants tend to come and go and although there are many Chinese restaurants they really tend to be in the fast food category of filling, but not much else.
