Walk into any souvenir shop in Poland and you will surely be greeted with traditional patterns of bright flowers on anything from napkins and coasters to pillowcases and sheets. These patterns are largely based out of this North-central region of Poland of Kashubia. The Kashubian school of embroidery has seen a sort of renaissance in recent years and has become a popular pattern once again in not only Kashubian, but also Polish homes. This exhibition is dedicated to the embroidery of the winners of the 21st Kashubian Embroidery Contest, just one of the reasons for the popularization of this craft.
