Kiss Me, Kate! has been around for a while. It won a Tony Award in 1949 and a film version was produced in Hollywood in 1953. The play has several layers as it incorporates conflict and romance between actors taking on Shakespeare’s <em>The Taming of the Shrew. </em>The Shakespeare Theater in Gdańsk uses an Elizabethan stage so you can stand and decide to be closer to the action, or opt for a seat in 3 vertical rows of seating. The play will be translated into English and German which is probably important information if you don’t speak Polish.
