Museum Of The National Anthem

A museum relating to the history behind the history of Poland's national anthem is located in an 18th-century manor house deep in the Kashubian countryside, the birthplace and residence of the song's composer, Józef Wybicki.

Museum Of The National Anthem near Gdańsk.
Along with displaying how the house would have looked in Wybicki's time, the museum explains the background to the writing of the anthem and the way that the anthem helped to maintain Poles' national identity during more than a century of partition and oppression by its occupying neighbours. During the summer, there are numerous special events including picnics and Napoleonic battle re-enactments.
