Marking the culmination of a two-year international art and education initiative called 'Shelter – Climate, Migration, Heritage', this exhibition roots itself in the essence of shelter as a haven of peace and balance and explores the interconnectedness of culture, nature, and humanity. It delves into the protection of our homes, communities, and the planet amidst rapid change. Developed through interdisciplinary collaboration with partners from Norway, Iceland, and Poland, the exhibition weaves together science, art, and education. Embracing a multicultural perspective, it tells a tale of cultural and natural heritage, climate change, and the collective pursuit of methods rooted in the wisdom of past generations. Gdańsk's Ethnographic Museum becomes a space where reflection on the past inspires proactive measures for the future, and a deep connection with nature motivates active efforts to safeguard our collective wellbeing.
