The retrospective exhibition at Gdańsk's Main Town Hall of the works of Wojciech Siudmak, a pioneer of the fantastic realism trend, promises to be a visual feast for art enthusiasts. Over 60 of his most famous works, including paintings, drawings, and sculptures, will be on display, showcasing the genius of the legendary Polish artist.

While the majority of mainstream western art audiences may not recognise his name, Siudmak's art has been the inspiration for many great filmmakers, including Federico Fellini, George Lucas, and Denis Villeneuve, as well as other artists and intellectuals. His works have been widely used as posters for music, theatre, and film events, and have become symbols of some of the world's most prestigious film festivals, including Cannes, Paris, and Montreal. In fact, Siudmak holds the record for designing the leading poster for the Cannes Film Festival three times. His paintings can also be found on album and book covers, as well as theatre and opera sets. Siudmak's unique style combines elements of surrealism and science fiction, producing hauntingly beautiful pieces that challenge the viewer's imagination.
