This temporary exhibition in the Old Town Hall branch of the Museum of Gdańsk focuses on the history of the 318th Fighter Reconnaissance Squadron, an airforce unit formed of exiled Polish fighter pilots in the UK in 1943. From the outset, it was intended to provide direct support to the Second Corps under the command of General Władysław Anders, who was arguably the most prominent Polish military officer in exile. The badge of the squadron, used from 1944, was the winged coat of arms of Gdańsk with the number 318 at the top of the shield, which its pilots wore on their uniforms.
