A42 House in Parktown North is an evolving pan-African movement dedicated to the art of creative repair and heritage restoration. Part members’ club and part community museum, A42 House is designed as a sanctuary for personal, social, and cultural wellbeing.

Through exhibitions and workshops, A42 House fosters the arts and brings new ways to engage with gallery spaces. You can book a night in one of their "bedroom exhibits". These spaces are co-created with local artists and storytellers and allow you to sleep inside a curated piece of culture. Or join them for workshops and talks that dive deeper into different creative mediums and conversations around heritage and culture. 

The house in Parktown North serves as a headquarters but, as A42's network of "resarts" grows, you will be able to visit them across the continent. Here, becoming a member gives you access to these spaces and lets you use them as a co-working space or venue for hire. It is also a great way to support their mission of sustaining African heritage and cultural practices.
