Making its South African debut, Afropunk Solution Sessions takes over Constitution Hill for two nights of discussion as a prelude to the second Afropunk festival. Hosted by veteran American social activists, including two founders of the Black Lives Matter movement, Patrisse Cullors and Alicia Garza, the Afropunk Solution Sessions leads a discussion on contemporary issues such as gender politics and youth resistance. Among the many speakers on the programme look out for South African LGBTI activists Thami Kotlolo and Thokozani Ndaba and American author, filmmaker and cultural critic Dream Hampton.

Entrance to the Afropunk Solution Sessions is free but booking is essential.
