​Currently part of the private home of jeweller Christopher Greig and his wife Susan, the gorgeous Beechwood Gardens are one of Joburg's most beautiful. The gardens were laid out in 1945 by legendary landscape architect Joane Pim, a founder member of the Institute of Landscape Architects of South Africa, and boast elegant lotus gardens, colonnades, formal rose gardens, a walled pantry garden and expansive lawns.

​These wonderful gardens are seldom open to the public and the few open days that they do host every year are always magnificent affairs. At this special winter market weekend enjoy fine wines and cocktails while wandering through the beautiful landscape and browsing the finely curated selection of stalls offering everything from designer clothing
and luxurious doggie accessories, to unique handcrafted jewellery, homeware design pieces, gorgeous cashmere scarves and artisanal foodstuffs.
