We could hardly think of a more exciting pop-up retail experience than this collaboration between two of our favourite makers spaces - Victoria Yards and 44 Stanley.

Victoria Yards is located in east Joburg and is best known for its many artisan workshops and studios that bring together artists, craftspeople and fashion designers. 44 Stanley, close to the bohemian suburbs of Melville and Brixton, is a pretty complex of cafes and boutiques that represents some of South Africa's leading fashion and design brands. Although the two spaces look and feel very different, they also share the same philosophy about reinventing ex-industrial urban spaces and promoting sustainable materials and artisanal craftsmanship.

At the Hyde Park Corner pop-up shop you'll find an amazing collection of fashion and accessories, furniture, decor, craft design and Fair Trade organic coffee on sale from 26 local businesses including; fashion labels Guillotine Design, Lunar, Odrin, Drybone co, Tshepo the Jeanmaker and Wrapt Knitwear, jewellery by Yol and Mambu Design,  accessories from Rowdy Bags and Tarp & Twill, hand-blown glassware from Smelt, the most beautiful natural fibre woven textiles from Mungo Design, handmade bespoke stationery and notebooks by Young Bucks, unique statement lighting by Coote and Wench and brightly coloured deckchairs and parasols by Ashanti Shades.
