Saturday Sep 13 11:00 …       ul. Józefitów 16

When taking photographs, do we think about what will be in the picture as quickly as when we press the shutter button on the camera or the icon on our smartphone? Can we tell a story through frames? Or when we run through the city every day, do we see the details that make it up? Maybe it's worth stopping for a moment and seeing something more in a streak of light or a shabby wall we pass by? Together, we will look around our immediate surroundings, slowly searching for what is not obvious, yet within arm's reach. We will capture the urban landscape, the nearby park, the repetition of rhythms, the play of shadows, the range of greys and ourselves. Light, a careful eye, focus and our imagination will be essential.
Please note that you will need your own cameras to participate in the outdoor session – details below.

Magdalena Guzik – graduate of photography at Marian Schmidt's Warsaw School of Photography, Polish philology at the Jagiellonian University, and postgraduate studies in modern art history at the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw.
