The musical performance Ongaku tells the story of teenager Janek, who lost his mother and has a hard time communicating with his father. To combat his isolation, he creates an imaginary world, Ongaku, where he meets Merodi, a warrior who takes him on a journey in search of courage and vulnerability. The image of doors plays an important role,  symbolising lack of human communication and tolerance. Throughout his magical introspective journey, Janek learns how to open doors leading to a world of chaos, silence, and darkness, which ultimately results in a better understanding of himself. The innovative Ongaku performance is designed to be accessible for both visually and hearing-impaired children, as well as disabled children through the use of sign language, and light and sound effects.
