Starting on May 5, 2021, the Kraków Museum opens a temporary exhibition Partings - searches. The wartime fate of Kraków's citizens at the Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory. The exhibition recounts the tragic events of the Second World War from the individual perspective of the inhabitants of Kraków, both those who left the city when the war broke out and those who moved there later. Their journey to Kraków sometimes took years and led across several continents.

The exhibition consists of six main parts divided thematically, considering the impact of the outbreak of war and the fate of soldiers, the deportation of civilians to the east, the Katyn massacre, the terror of German occupation, the extermination of Krakowian Jews, and forced labour in Germany. In each part of the exhibition, relics of the time are joined with the testimonies of witnesses, copies of photographs, documents and letters. These have been selected to reflect the widest possible social cross-section of the city: from representatives of the intelligentsia to people without trained professions. The exhibition will last until September 18, 2022.
