An admirable establishment near Wawel Castle, the upscale interior features exposed brick, timber ceiling beams, a fireplace and skilful mural in one of the rooms, offset by framed photos of family and guests on the walls, creating a truly comfortable and classy dining environment. Serving excellent incarnations of Polish standards, the menu includes more meat than you'll find at a livestock market, with deer and wild boar getting into the menagerie as well, and the complimentary pre-meal smalec and bread may be the best in Kraków. For those stricken with food allergies, this is one of the only places in town to offer clearly demarcated gluten-free meals, to which their menu dedicates a page.
