It's time for the 2019 Yuletide celebrations! Let the Christmas markets spring up like deranged candy-cane-striped mushrooms. There are cute regional crafts (souvenir shopping!), gingerbread (yum!), mulled wine and beer, wintertime snacks, and plenty of Christmas decorations to choose from. Children have plenty of workshops to choose from, so parents do not have to worry about entertaining them. The Ice Festival took place on the 7th and 8th of December, beckoning the audience with the beauty of ice sculptures. Traditionally, the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony took place on the Old Town Square on the 30th of November at 5 pm. The ceremony marks the beginning of the Christmas Fair, which is open from 11 am to 9 pm. The market will end on the 22nd of December.
