Bulgarian cuisine traditionally means lots of salads, platters of cold cuts, grilled meats fried potatoes and the local tipple rakia. There are of course many cooked dishes worth trying with also plenty of vegetarian options in the starters section. In recent years we have noticed several restaurants trying to develop their own take on getting Bulgarian Cuisine to the next level, whether it is by digging out grandma's old recipes or developing sustainable local production of ingredients and experimenting with traditional techniques such as fermentation they each have something to contribute to the popularity of Bulgarian Cuisine.
