Every respectable city these days needs its German Christmas Market, and Sofia's version thereof has now been going for 12 years. In the heart of the city centre, in the City Park by Battenberg Square, you will find here traditional styled wooden huts selling seasonal gifts, food and drink. A stage area offers a variety of musical entertainment, both professional and from local schools. On weekends and late afternoon (16:00) there are a variety of workshops on offer for kids to create seasonal fare and gifts. It can get very crowded, so be careful with your personal belongings.
