The 37th Salon of Youth, widely known throughout Croatia as the largest national exhibition showcasing the works of many talented contemporary artists, will take place at the HDLU Home (Meštrović Pavilion) along with 10 other locations from April 25 – June 16.



The Traversa Medvednice race, which follows a beautiful, yet demanding trail, will be held in the Medvednica Nature Park, Zagreb on May 4.

The 6th edition of the Trogir Outdoor Festival starts this season beneath the Kamerlengo fortress. This year's rich programme, presenting the skills of Croatian sailors, will commence from May 3 – 5, and continue with a „Mastors of Trail“ race on May 25.

EBB, an artistic collective consisting of Lisa Darrer, Claire Pritchard, and Rosalind Wilson, focuses on natural and biological life cycles such as growth and decay. An artistic installation of theirs will be presented at GMK, Zagreb, inside and outside the gallery from May 5 – 29.

This year's Spring JAZZHR Festival is hosting some of the finest, most talented jazz musicians out there. During the span of 3 days, no less than 6 performances will be held by various musical collectives. The Festival takes place at Tvornica kulture, Zagreb, from May 8 – 10.

May 10 is a day to learn about our Earth's warmth at the one-day event „Day and night at Faculty of Science“. There, you will get to hear all about how heat is obtained from the Sun, how it is stored on Earth and what role earthquakes play in the above processes. The event consists of a day, a night and an online programme filled with various lectures, workshops, games and many more fun and educative activities to be held at the Faculty of Science (PMF), Zagreb


Night of the Fortresses, an event that pays high honour to the cultural heritage of Croatia, Bosnia & Hercegovina and Montenegro is taking place on May 10. To participate in this event in Croatia and further explore its fortresses, visit one of the 4 locations including Korčula, Senj, Slavonski Brod and Pazin.

The Valhalla MUF Festival is coming to Močvara, Zagreb, from May 10 – 11 with 8 powerful bands exploring a variety  of  metal subgenres from heavy, black and death to goregrind, speed and thrash. For all the headbangers, metalheads and moshing fans out there, this one is a can't-miss.

The oldest and largest croatian SF convention, SFeraKon, has been bringing together masses of science fiction, fantasy and horror fans since 1977. Whether it is to embody your favourite fictional character through cosplay, learn more about your favourite films, series and video games or just to connect with likeminded people, visit this year's SFeraKon from May 10 – 12 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER), Zagreb.

Vinistra, the 30th international fair of wine and winemaking equipment will be held from May 10 – 12 at Žatika Hall, Poreč. This event is a unique chance for visitors to taste and learn about award-winning istrian wines and other autochthonous products such as rakija, olive oil, honey, cheese and prosciutto.

The Dubrovnik Musical Spring is bringing class, melody and harmony to the Franciscan Church and Rector's Palace, Dubrovnik, from April 25 – June 13. A number of impressive orchestras will perform from the works of many legendary composers such as Beethoven, Mozart, Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, Bach, Bizet and more.

An adapted and rearranged chamber version of the famous Jalta, Jalta musical will be performed by the extraordinary Surian family whose members are all highly accomplished and talented musicians. The date for this musical extravaganza is May 17 and the location is the Ivo Tijardović Concert Hall, Split.


The masters of dark cabaret, The Tiger Lillies, are making a comeback to Zagreb after almost 13 years. This three-piece British band performs a perfect combination of cabaret, vaudeville, music-hall, street theatre and an edge of punk. They will shake up the stage of Kino SC on May 11.

Symphonika on the Rock is a show performed by a symphonic orchestra reviving all the world's greatest rock hits. A mix of light shows, projections, LED walls, special guests, multiple singers and an energetic band and orchestra awaits at the Zamet Centre, Rijeka on May 17.

The Rijeka Outdoor Weekend begins on May 18 at the Grivica Square with a „Two Rijeka hills hike“ and continues on May 19 at Mololong with an „Industrial zone“ nordic walking.

The „Days of Herbs from Dugi Otok“ are being held from May 18 – 25 with the aim of introducing the visitors to the uniqueness of the island's lush vegetation through culinary experiences, walks, cultural heritage and more.

The 2nd ever Zagreb Pizza Festival will be held at Strossmayer Square, Zagreb from May 18 – 28. During the span of these 10 days, you will be able to indulge your taste buds with a variety of Italian delicacies made by professional Croatian chefs who will be represented on 10 different stands.

The Sea Star Festival is the first to welcome the early summer vibes at Stella Maris Stadion, Umag from May 24 – 25 with an incredible lineup including Buč Kesidi, Joker Out, Baby Lasagna, John Newman and many more.

The one and only legend and 17 time Grammy winner, Sting, is coming to the Arena Zagreb on May 27 for another unforgettable concert featuring the greatest hits we all know.

The Zagreb Music Fest, an open air celebration, will take place at Jarun Lake from May 30 – July 1 with Parni Valjak, Dubioza Kolektiv and Boris Brejcha as headliners for each of the 3 nights.

The 6th Nikola Tesla EV Rally is starting this year in Opatija and continuing to Istria, and then down to Split, heading toward the islands of Brač and Hvar before ending in Šibenik. The event will thrill spectators and followers from May 26 - June 1.
