Wits Chris Seabrooke Music Hall
Launched in 2022, the Wits Chris Seabrooke Music Hall is the only purpose-built live music hall with a modern acoustic design in the city. The foyer is a converted heritage building, and the patch of earth that this new building occupies was where Joburg's first gold miners lived.
The Linder Auditorium
Symphony Seasons always bring soloists from across the country and the world, and varied programmes from old favourites to brand new compositions. There are generally pre-concert talks for anyone who wants to know more about any specific programme. This 1000 seater hall hosts most orchestra concerts and a good number of chamber music concerts, too. For the latest offerings, visit the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Johannesburg Festival Orchestra and the Johannesburg Musical Society websites. There is safe parking at the Linder Auditorium (it is on the Wits University Education Campus).

There are monthly Sunday Recitals at Glenshiel, or visit Northwards mansion for recitals organised by Maestro Richard Cock.
Churches to listen to music in
A few churches regularly host concerts in Johannesburg: St Martin's-in-the-veld, St Francis of Assisi in Parkview (who present performances in the beautiful sanctuary three or four times a year), and you can go to an organ recital at St George's in Parktown or listen to a number of chamber music and choir concerts that are hosted there.
