A new restaurant on the top floor of the Manhattan Shopping Centre in Wrzeszcz, 4 Piętro's (Eng: Fourth Floor) initial draw is the panorama of Aleja Grunwaldzka, one of the major roads in Gdańsk. Once that initial novelty wears off, you can choose to sit in the classy bistro interior or out in the open air. Most notably, the turf decór and mini-pine trees they've gardened along the edge of the outdoor terrace give punters an opportunity to unwind from the busy urban corridor below. Turning to the menu, prices seemed reasonable and we ordered a small range of dishes. The Seafood Chowder starter was more of a straight-forward soup or Bouillabaisse and didn't really match expectations, however, the Pumpkin Gnocci was exceptional and made up for everything. Additionally, we tried their Fish & Chips with Coleslaw, Remoulade Sauce and Salad, which were clearly made from fresh ingredients, perfectly crisp with soft insides and not overly-salty. Initially, we remarked that the portions seemed too small but looks can be deceiving: We were more than satisfied. Next time we will bring a bigger group and order from the bar!
