The New Trends in Tourism conference returns in October 2021 and there's plenty to talk about! COVID-19 may have devastated a huge percentage of the industry's livelihood, but the situation has seen rapid improvement, thanks to extensive vaccination programs and hygiene regulations. Furthermore, tourism has faced the challenges presented and has considered how to move forward in a less-than-certain future. Returning to some level of normality, the 11th edition of the New Trends in Tourism conference includes lectures by the invited international panellists, as well as workshops, exhibitions and information tours. This year, the special emphasis will be on issues related to "smart tourism", especially new technologies (including card systems), and collection and effective use of data. The conference will be an opportunity to learn about modern solutions and innovative ideas that will generate increased tourist traffic. Among panellists will be Dr Eran Ketter, Dagmara Pakulska, Doug Lansky, Maciej Kautz (conference host), Manolis Psarros, Marek Kamiński, Mia Lahtvee, Nicholas Hall, Piotr Bucki, Rob Davidson, and Łukasz Wysocki. All lectures and workshops will be conducted in English, thanks to the simultaneous translation.
