What do a 5 km run, 1:00 am, and an airport runway have in common? Thanks to Skywayrun, a whole lot more than you might think. On the night of the 9th going into the 10th of June, 2,000+ runners will take over the Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport runway. Apart from taking place at the third-busiest airport in Poland in terms of passenger traffic, this event is sure to break a record when it comes to the number of people being "let loose" on a Polish runway. Don't worry, no flights or departures are slotted during the (ungodly) hours of this run—because if planes were to race humans, we gather the planes would win.
