David Krut Projects has three Joburg venues; this gallery space at 142 Jan Smuts Avenue in Parkwood and 'The Blue House' building on the opposite side of the street which has an art gallery space and the David Krut Bookstore. Their third space is the David Krut Projects workshop and bookshop at Arts on Main in Maboneng in the Joburg City Centre. At their impressive workshop at Arts on Main they specialise in the techniques of intaglio, relief and monotype printing for local and international artists, including William Kentridge whose art studio is just a few doors away.
The gallery hosts a new exhibition every month featuring the work of local artists and in conjunction with each new exhibition there is also usually a programme of events such as print workshops, talks and demonstrations that are well worth looking out for.
