Slightly hidden on Plac Wolnica, despite being one of Kraków's biggest, brashest venues, Mash Room is a hybrid beer garden, lounge and underground club embraced by the city's alternative nightlife scene. Self-described as a 'ruinbar,' the aesthetic is lush, urban, trashy and psychedelic, and they enjoy changing it often - from a smashed-mirror-encrusted entry hall into the hidden garden full of plants and colourful street art, to the red-light lounge area featuring graffiti tags, a bed and tangled rope lights. Downstairs, the club is full of brain-damaged black-lit squiggles, and the beats get hard, hot and heavy after midnight as DJs play a mix of niche techno and electronic music. Essentially an IDM dive bar with a lovely secret garden, Mash Room is perfect for both relaxed daytime drinks in the peaceful garden and powerful dance parties downstairs with the young, hip, alternative crowd.
 

Making their name with craft cocktails served by the carafe, Mash Room invites icons from the club scene to curate their regularly changing drink menus while also serving a large variety of Polish craft beers from their multi-tap bar. If you want a glorious garden to meet friends on a sunny day, this is a strong recommendation. If you want to mingle with hip young locals and in an unpretentious, music-focused club...same.
