Fans of architecture, modelling and history should take an interest in this temporary exhibition in the former 'Morskie Oko' Hotel at ul. Krupówki 30 in Zakopane (open 10:00-20:00). Presenting 1:25 scale models of some of the pearls of pre-war Warsaw architecture, the project gives viewers a unique look into the past, for as much as Warsaw rebuilt a lot of its pre-war splendour, so much more was lost during the Second World War and never rebuilt. With that in mind, here you get to see recreations of some stunning buildings which were completely destroyed, such as the once iconic Saxon Palace. This exhibition takes its audience through the playground of the last Polish kings, the Palace where Fryderyk Chopin wrote his first polonaise, the place where Polish cryptologists deciphered the German Enigma, the theatre where Stanisław Moniuszko conducted, the birthplace of Maria Curie Skłodowska and much more.
