Time of a Turnaround is a research project by the artist Mirjana Vodopija based on research inspired by the phenomenon of the accumulation and sudden release of energy. During 2020, more events prompted reflections on such a nature of things and phenomena. Starting from the accumulation of kinetic energy before the earthquake, incubation before the onset of disease symptoms to the accumulation of the number of infected before the sudden outbreak of a pandemic.The accumulation of energy and its sudden release is present in research in various fields of science: in physics, chemistry, political science, economics, biology, ecology, but also in art. The exhibition in the gallery space shows the accumulation of energy through a spatial installation in which the data elements react to the presence and action of visitors, creating tension. Disintegration and dismissal will depend on the intensity and character of the visitor’s actions.
