Goldwasser Restaurant

  ul. Długie Pobrzeże 22, Gdańsk ,   Old Town          (+48) 58 301 88 78     12 May 2024
Still one of our favourite places to take guests in Gdańsk, this atmospheric riverside restaurant features dishes like duck, fresh fish and delicious homemade pierogi and bread along with locally produced beer served by multi-lingual service. Relax in the classic Gdańsk interior or hit the garden the moment the sun appears to enjoy one of the best choices of properly prepared steak in the city in the shadow of the city’s signature Crane. Souvenir hunters should keep an eye out for the traditional Danzig spirits which have been re-born under the German owner and the Goldwasser liqueur box sets make for an excellent souvenir. If spirits aren't your thing, then you should look to their impressive wine list, which is used especially for food pairing. It should be emphasised that the sommeliers at Goldwasser are exceptionally good at what they do, having complete is a number of elite international courses to perfect their senses!

Also open for breakfast with a choice of four breakfast sets - English, French, Fitness and the Royal Polish Breakfast.

This was one of the best restaurant experience I have ever had, even in the middle of the winter. The interior is very charming/romantic, and there are several small alcoves/booths/rooms around. Service is efficient and multilingual - they even spoke a few words Norwegian! The meal was to die for and I would actually strongly consider returning to Gdansk just to repeat it. I had the creamy lobster soup, perfectly cooked steak on a wood platter and crème brûlée for dessert - of course finally washed down with a shot of Goldwasser! Bring home the gift set with beautiful glasses as well! It is probably considered expensive by Polish standards, but this restaurant keeps a very hign international standard, and there are lots of tourists visiting here. Go there - you will thank me :)
