Tatsuno is a castle town in the southwest of Hyōgo Prefecture. It is referred to as "the small Kyoto of the Harima province". The popularity of the old town of this city, surrounded by the mountains of Matoba and Keiro and the river Ibo, increases due to the richness of historic architecture and the climate of streets reminiscent of the old period. Tatsuno Art Project, organised annually since 2011, aims to gain more visitors in the city by actively disseminating outstanding works of art at home and abroad. This initiative is also intended to allow the widest possible use of Tatsuno cultural goods so that they are not just "stored" away in the city. The Tatsuno Art Project connects the old city of Krakow with the city of Tatsuno with the aim of increasing cultural exchange between nations through art and culture.
