Towers surrounding castles were continuing to be built across Europe long after their defensive function was no longer needed. Nowadays their main function was to increase the castle owner's prestige. A few of them were discovered during archeological excavations in the Old Town, near Krzysztofory, and on Szewska Street. The exhibition displays architectural plans, as well as objects of everyday use. What makes this exhibition particularly attractive is the fact that it was made accessible to the blind visitors. Not only the description was prepared in Braille alphabet, but also some of the objects were made accessible by touch. The youngest visitors will have an opportunity to build their own towers in the especially prepared area.
