Toy Museum
Containing toys from the last two centuries, this museum situated a ten-minute walk from Central station is ideal for toddlers and toy enthusiast. A large collection of old toys is displayed over 3 floors and most are available for children to play with, so your kids will have a lot of fun. Note that the museum closes for an hour every day (13-14) and the entrance is free on the first Sunday of the month.
Mini-Europe
Mini-Europe is a great stop for you, if you're looking for a fun outdoor activity! This entertaining park is the only place where you can visit the whole of Belgium and have a tour of Europe in just a few short hours. Great for kids and miniatures lovers, here you’ll find 350 well designed models and sites and a few interactive multimedia games along with the “Spirit of Europe” exhibition at the end, all of them located right in the shadow of the Atomium. Seeing the eruption of Vesuvius, the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Big Ben is definitely worth the visit!
Comic Strip Center
A unique museum located in a beautiful Art Nouveau building that will immediately take you back to your childhood! The Smurfs, Lucky Luke and Tin Tin are some of the famous stars you'll meet on your visit, alongside several other characters immortalized by Belgian cartoon artists. The venue also has a thematic book store and a restaurant where you can rest your feet and eat a nice lunch after visiting the fun exhibits. Either if you're a kid or an adult, this is the place to go if you love comics!
Museum of Cocoa and Chocolate
A fun museum for both adults and children, here you’ll learn a lot about the history of chocolate dating back to Aztec and Mayan civilisations. You’ll also enjoy a praline making demonstration at the end of your tour and the free samples are something every chocolate lover dreams of. This is not a big museum, but is definitely worth a visit!
