Children will love Crete for the sea and the food even you don’t go anywhere else except the beach and the tavern. Anyway, there are fun venues in the Heraklion area like CretAquarium/ Thalassokosmos and Labyrinth Park. While in Chania, you can visit Minoan’s World with the kids.
The underwater world located 15 minutes east of downtown is the place where the kids will meet the real Nemo. Sand tiger shark, stingray, dusky grouper, sea turtle – these are only a few of the Mediterranean and Greek seas species you can see there swimming in giant aquariums.
One of the newest fun zones on the island has been set up near the Hersonissos resort. Labyrinth Park is both amusing and educational for the kids teaching them stories of Greek mythology. Escaping the Minotaur is the greatest challenge there. There are other physical activities - Mini Golf, Quad Biking, Archery, etc. Parents can have fun too.
Children will learn about the ancient civilization and will have fun at the same time. This interactive venue combines a 3D museum with a 9D Cinema. It is amusing for kids of all ages.
