Oldest National Anthem

Oldest National Anthem
The Dutch Wilhelmus is the oldest national anthem in the world. The first stanza is the part that is usually sung or played at official events. We're guessing that the part in the second stanza about being loyal to the king of Spain doesn't get much airplay these days.

William of Nassau,
I am of Dietsch blood,
My fatherland, I am true
until my life is though.

I am a prince of Orange
fearless, ever free,
The King of Spain will have
my lifelong loyalty

Or as the locals sing it:

Wilhelmus van Nassouwe
ben ik, van Duitsen bloed,
den vaderland getrouwe
blijf ik tot in den dood.

Een Prinse van Oranje
ben ik, vrij onverveerd,
den Koning van Hispanje
heb ik altijd geëerd.
