The Strand Hotel's cheerful, ground floor restaurant impressed us by providing fast, smiling service even on a packed evening. Basic, international choices like, barbecued pork, steamed pike perch, seafood pasta and baked salmon make up the menu. Don't laugh about the 'house tart' on the dessert menu. Next time we'll try the cake.
