This is the heart of Germany, this is the 21st century, this is the modern world; of course there is plenty of shopping to be done in Kassel. The commerce scene here is well-developed and then some, treading that fine line between a mass of overly-familiar international brands and independent local retailers. Both are available, is what we’re saying. The pedestrianised city centre is also a pleasant spot for a stroll on a Saturday afternoon.
