Certainly one of the best music venues in Silesia, or even dare we say southern Poland, Hipnoza has been punching above its weight in terms of live events for over two decades. Essentially a dive bar beneath foil-wrapped ducts and psychedelic wall spirals, with a large open dancefloor leading directly to the stage, this spare, simple venue books some of the city's best performances - from jazz to indie to hip-hop - the reputation and subsequent turnout for which often exceeds the size of the space. Getting a drink from a barstaff that barely seems to know what they're doing can be frustrating, but the intimate concert experience is hard to beat, whether you know the names or not. Serving street food, snacks and smash burgers, drop by any evening for a bite and a laid-back drink with friends, but check their FB page to see what ticketed events might be happening.
