Usually on May 1, the Kyiv River Port officially opens its season of tours on the Dnipro. Kyivites and visitors to the capital have made cruising this famed river and its tributaries one of their favourite leisure activities. From the water it’s possible to see Kyiv’s sites from a whole new perspective and enjoy the awe inspiring beauty of the lush forests that caress both banks. Aboard 14 different tour boats passengers can go as far as the Kyiv Sea or sweep down to the southern suburb of Osokorky. There’s nothing quite like the sensation of dancing while the floor sways beneath your feet from port to starboard: book your passage on the Aquadiscoteka (Water-disco).
A trip to the Kyiv Sea takes three to four hours and costs from 60-80Hr. Sight seeing tours of the Dnipro go for 40-50Hr weekdays and 70Hr on weekends and last about one hour. A short two hour journey up the Desna will cost you the handsome sum of 100Hr. Trips to the Kyiv sea take 3 hours and cost up to 150Hr. Night tours take 2,5 hours and cost up to 500Hr including a dinner.
Tours set sail seven days a week starting at 10:00. Tickets can be purchased at the ship before boarding. Sightseeing tours depart from moorings 7, 11 and 12, and all others from moor 13.
