Curacao Forts can't hardly be missed and you don't have to be an aficionado of militairy history to appreciate Curacao's forts. From the 17th century the Dutch build many on the south coast, mainly to keep paradise away from the French, British and Spaniards. Many are in ruins, eight survived. Most of them got a second life as hotel, shop, restaurant, museum or office.
