An atmospheric hotel set in one of the few buildings to survive the Red Army’s advance. Rooms are pleasant, equipped with big beds and the sort of oil paintings you’ll on sale in the main square of any tourist town. Varying in size from tiny to titanic lodgings are reasonably basic but renovated and clean, while the staff are among the most helpful in the biz. Of note is the restaurant, home to a one-eyed cat who patrols the dining room.
