Museums and galleries in Aarhus tend to be found in stunning buildings, but few come close to matching the majesty of the Moesgaard Museum. Located just 10km south of the city centre, the museum is an extensive deep dive into archeology, ethnology, photography and more. Its most famous exhibit? That would be the Grauballe Man, a disturbingly well-preserved bog body of a murdered man from the 3rd century BC. No, there are no typos in that sentence. The body was so well-preserved that his fingerprints were taken. The museum also dips its toes into various other historic eras, with some excellent interactive displays waiting to be enjoyed.
