Of course we’re going to wax lyrical about a Viking Museum in Scandinavia, that’s just what we do. The Aarhus chapter of this great book is typically excellent, covering the quite insane history of the medieval marauders. What makes this place extra special is that the museum itself sits on the very excavated spot that it displays, meaning the collections of artefacts didn’t have far to travel at all. This isn’t the biggest museum in the world, but it is definitely worth a look.
