As well as being the capital city of Wales, Cardiff is a major cultural and economic centre for the whole of the UK. The capital is fairly easy to reach by many different types of transport, although getting out into the rest of Wales can often seem like a true mission impossible. Cardiff has an international airport alongside national rail and bus stations, and is predictably a major regional transport hub.
