The ancient village of Iballa, 31km north of Fushe-Arrez and 53km from Puka, is perfectly suited for an excursion. With a history going back to the metal-working Pyrissaei tribe in the 4th century BCE, over the ages many visitors have written about the village's past and present. Looking at this bucolic, remote place, it now seems unlikely that Iballa was something of a centre for economic, political, educational and religious activities in northern Albania. A few guesthouses offer meals and beds for the night.
